After graduating from the United States Naval Academy in 2008, Fiona McFarland spent eight years on active duty: onboard a destroyer in the Western Pacific; building a first-in-class littoral
combat ship while earning a master’s of business administration from the University of North Carolina; and serving as a line officer assigned to public affairs in the Pentagon.
After two years as a consultant with global management consulting firm McKinsey and Company and as a lieutenant commander in the Navy Reserve, Fiona has decided to return to public service by running for the Florida State House of Representatives, District 72, Sarasota. Through her representation, Fiona is promoting job growth, deregulation, and responsible stewardship over Florida's natural resources and waters.
