MARK OSMACK

Candidate for Missouri Treasurer
Service:
U.S. Army

Mark is a Democrat from a trailer park, who twice went to war, who supports a woman's right to choose, stands with labor, and goes where people feel forgotten. This isn't another race in another state...it's the Missouri Treasurer's race. Mark is a two-time combat veteran and 4th generation Missourian who attended public schools and the University of Missouri-Columbia. After college, he enlisted in the US Army where he earned a commission as a Field Artillery officer. His first deployment was to Afghanistan with 2CR during the 2010-11 surge, earning a Bronze Star as a Mortar Platoon Leader. His second time to Afghanistan was with the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault).

After coming back from six years of active duty and multiple duty stations, he utilized the GI Bill to earn his Masters in Public Administration from George Washington University. Going to school at night, he learned policy firsthand by working on Veterans Administration, budgetary, defense, and international affairs issues in the US Senate and House. He has also worked on national defense transportation issues for over three years at Scott Air Force Base and currently focuses on lead remediation from water, access to clean drinking water, and plumbing safety codes as Director of Government Affairs for a non-profit organization.
