Endorsement: Kathryn York for State Senate in Mississippi's 8th District

Today, we were excited to endorse teacher and business leader Kathryn York in her run for Mississippi State Senate District 8. York is a Teach for America alum who now serves as Teach for America Greater Delta’s Chief of Staff, and works with over 125 teachers across Mississippi and Arkansas.

Emily had this to say about Kathryn: “We’re ecstatic to endorse Kathryn because we need to elect leaders like her who know what it’s like to put values first. Kathryn is a courageous and committed leader who has dedicated her life to serving her community and putting children first, and she will do what’s right for Mississippi.”

Our endorsements include strategic advising and training in all aspects of a candidate’s campaign, such as fundraising, communications, organizing, and hiring and team building. In 2018, we helped raise over $7M for our endorsed candidates.
