Laura was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She served as a Senior Corps Member with City Year Milwaukee from 2010-2012. She then worked as an educator for Milwaukee College Prep, 38th Street from 2012-2016. In 2016, Laura returned to City Year Milwaukee as the Special Projects Manager and completed her time serving as the CYMKE Alumni Board Chair from 2013-2017. Laura is currently the Talent Specialist at Seton Catholic Schools and volunteers with Common Ground WI. She earned her B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies, Child Development emphasis, and a Certificate in ChicanX and LatinX Studies from UW-Madison.
